The speed-increasing gearbox, a critical component of wind turbines, operates under high stress and harsh conditions. The key components such as bearings and gears require effective lubrication and protection to function optimally. It's here that the role of high-efficiency filtration comes into play. By ensuring that the lubricating oil is equipped with the best high-quality filtration, we can ensure the normal and effective operation of the gearbox and the fan, thus enhancing the overall efficiency of the wind turbine.
Our company has developed and produced a comprehensive range of wind series filter elements. These are suitable for most fan gearboxes in current operation and can seamlessly replace the imported filter elements currently in use. Manufactured under the strict guidance of ISO9001/ISO14001 and OHSAS18001 management systems, our filter elements promise excellent quality and reliability. They stand as a testament to our commitment to elevate the wind power industry by providing top-notch, reliable filtration solutions.
The oil filter element of the wind turbine gearbox features a double-effect filter material with a pleated structure. This includes high-efficiency glass fiber filter material and stainless steel wire mesh filter material. During regular operation, the oil is filtered and purified through the glass fiber filter material. In case of inferior conditions, the stainless steel wire mesh filter material takes over the filtration and purification process.
The filter element has a unique differential pressure valve. This valve automatically directs the oil to pass through different filter materials under the set pressure difference, ensuring that the filter element remains undamaged even under high pressure differences.
The high-efficiency glass fiber filter material, consolidated by resin, boasts high pollution-tolerant space and capacity. It features a fixed pore structure, ensuring no filter material fibers migrate or fall off. Moreover, the polluted particles intercepted by the filtration process will not be unloaded due to variations in pressure difference and flow.
With a variety of filtration precisions to choose from, the glass fiber filter material ensures quick and efficient interception and removal of polluting particles.
The high-strength polyester support material and outer wrapping structure of the upstream and downstream of the filter element guarantee the strength of the filter element and the stability of the filter area. This design ensures optimal performance and durability, providing reliable and efficient filtration for the wind turbine gearbox.
In the wind power industry, the filter system operates with double precision for optimum performance. When the pressure difference of the filter element is lower than 4bar, the bypass valve on the filter element remains closed, allowing the lubricating oil to be filtered through the 10um filter element. However, when the pressure difference of the filter element exceeds 4bar, the bypass valve on the filter element opens, and the oil only passes through 50um of coarse filtration. Regardless of the situation, unfiltered oil does not enter the lubricated parts of the gearbox, ensuring the cleanliness and efficiency of the lubrication system.
To maintain effective operation, a differential pressure transmitter is installed on the filter. When the filter element becomes blocked and the pressure difference reaches 3bar, the differential pressure transmitter sends out a signal as a prompt for the filter element to be replaced. This helps to avoid any potential damage or inefficiencies that could be caused by a blocked filter.
Additionally, the filter comes equipped with an exhaust pipe at the top. This feature enables the removal of air bubbles in the system at any time, preventing the potential damage to the gearbox that could be caused by these bubbles. This innovative design ensures that the wind power equipment functions at its best, delivering efficient and sustainable energy.
There are three types of wind filter:
Filter elements for lubrication systems
Working Principle
The filter is double-precision filtration. The filter element is composed of two parts: the fine filter element and the safety filter element. When the pressure difference of the filter element is lower than 4bar, the check valve on the filter element is closed.
The working medium enters the next actuator after being filtered by the 10um fine filter element. When the pressure difference of the filter element is greater than 4bar, the one-way valve on the filter element is opened, and the working medium is filtered through the 50um safety filter element. In any case, unfiltered oil does not enter the lubricated parts of the gearbox. A differential pressure transmitter is installed on the filter. When the filter element is blocked and the pressure difference reaches -3.5bar, the differential pressure transmitter will send a signal to remind the filter element to be replaced.
Air dryer filter for gearbox
Filters, also called respirators, are key components to protect the quality of lubricating oils, and are widely used in gear boxes, oil storage tanks, transformers, hydraulic oil stations and other equipment. There is lubricating oil inside these devices. Due to thermal expansion and cold contraction, these devices cannot be sealed and must be connected to the atmosphere. The respirator is the medium that communicates with the atmosphere. Its dehumidification and dust removal design makes the air entering the device clean. And dry, effectively protect the quality of lubricating oil.
Wind power gearbox lubrication and cooling system
The lubrication of the gearbox is very important. Good lubrication can sufficiently protect the gears and other moving parts. The lubricating oil builds an oil film to form a non-contact rolling and sliding, which plays a lubricating role. At the same time, due to the machining accuracy and other reasons, it rotates to generate relative rolling friction and sliding friction, and generate a certain amount of heat. The high temperature will burn the gears and other moving parts, so the lubricating oil plays a role in lubricating on the one hand, and on the other hand. cooling effect. Why the wind power system filter is so important
The importance of the filter system in wind power can't be overstated. Here are a few reasons why it's so crucial:
Optimal Performance: Filters are essential for the smooth operation of the wind power system. They help in removing contaminants from the oil used in the gearbox, ensuring its optimal performance. Without a filter, the oil could become contaminated, leading to wear and tear on the gearbox and affecting the overall efficiency of the wind turbine.
Longevity of Equipment: Filters help in prolonging the lifespan of the wind turbine equipment. They prevent the buildup of harmful particles in the gearbox, reducing the risk of premature failure and extending the service life of the equipment.
Cost Efficiency: Regular maintenance and replacement of filters can save significant costs in the long run. It prevents major breakdowns and the high costs associated with repairing or replacing the entire wind turbine system.
Compliance with Regulations: Many industries are subject to certain government regulations that dictate the use of filters. Using high-quality filters can help wind power plants meet these regulatory standards.
Environmental Responsibility: Filters also play a crucial role in environmental conservation. They prevent harmful particles from being discharged into the environment, contributing to sustainability efforts.
In summary, filters are an integral part of the wind power system, ensuring its efficient operation, longevity, cost-effectiveness, regulatory compliance, and environmental sustainability.
