Working Principle:

Filtration Status:

The shallow sand filter operates as a cohesive unit, composed of numerous filtration units aligned side by side. During filtration, unfiltered water is evenly dispersed through an unique water distributor, designed by the company. This water then flows in a laminar fashion through the filler layer, which is made up of refined homogeneous quartz sand. As the water passes through this layer, impurities are effectively trapped within. Several evenly distributed water collectors are positioned at the bottom of the filter to uniformly collect and draw out the filtered water. This level flow filtration allows the filter to operate at high flow rates while still achieving excellent filtration results.

Backwashing Status:

Over time, impurities continue to accumulate in the packing layer, leading to an increase in the internal pressure head loss. Upon reaching a set value, the system will automatically activate the differential pressure device, transitioning it to the backwashing state. This process involves a hydraulic valve changing the water supply direction to facilitate one-by-one backwashing, effectively cleaning the accumulated impurities. Even during the backwash state, filtration continues. While the standard unit sand cylinder undergoing backwashing ceases to filter, the other sand cylinders in the system continue the filtration process. The clean filtered water is partly used to backwash the standard unit sand cylinders, with the remainder still being delivered to the customer. The backwash effluent is expelled through the backwash drain in the hydraulic valve.

In the high-efficiency filtration system for high-speed sand cylinders, a special collector design allows the fillers to scrub against each other, maximizing backwashing efficiency and minimizing the amount of backwash water required. Simultaneously, backwashing occurs without any material loss. A standard unit sand cylinder backwashes for 3 minutes, and once completed, the internal pressure head loss is reduced to a reasonable range. The pressure setting device then signals for a recovery, causing the hydraulic valve to return to the filtration state. The next standard unit sand cylinder then prepares to enter the backwashing state. The system can also be controlled by time backwashing, defaulting to backwashing once every 4 hours. This time can be adjusted according to the site's working conditions. Dual system control does not differentiate between primary and secondary, and operates based on which process is required first.
