What is Tube Type Automatic backwash filter?

A Tube Type Automatic Backwash Filter is a type of filtration system that is often used in whole-house filtration systems. This type of filter typically uses one or two large tanks. The filtration process involves backwashing, which is usually an automatic process.

Unlike cartridge filters which don’t backwash and require the entire cartridge to be replaced when the filter is saturated with contaminants, backwash filters self-clean. They do this by reversing the flow of water, which flushes out contaminants. 

The tube-type self-cleaning filter adopts PLC fully intelligent control and can filter online for a long time. The in-line self-cleaning filter consists of an inlet valve and an outlet valve connected to one or more filter circuits on the main pipeline. Each filter circuit is called a "column", and each column of filters consists of several filter units. The number of filter units in each row of filters and the total number of rows of backwash filters should be determined based on the required process characteristics, namely flow, flow rate, viscosity, average particle content in the medium and some other process parameters.

When the control system receives the backwash signal, the raw material liquid inlet valve of a filtration unit of the filter is closed and the drain valve is opened. Under the action of its own pressure, the filtered liquid is reversed. The solid particles accumulated on the outer surface of the filter element are washed away and discharged into the waste oil pipe, then the drain valve is closed, the raw material inlet valve is opened, the filter unit of this group is put into filtration, and the next filter unit is backwashed until all The filter units are backwashed one by one. When the backwash is completed, the filter enters normal operation state and waits for the arrival of the next backwash signal. External backwash: uses other gas backwash media to pressurize the liquid in the tank. When the control system receives the backwash signal, the raw material liquid inlet and outlet valves of a filter unit of the filter are closed, and the backwash medium The inlet valve and drain valve are opened, and the filtered liquid flows in reverse direction driven by the gas pressure. The solid particles accumulated on the outer surface of the filter element are washed away and discharged into the waste oil pipe.
