The following is the standard maintenance procedure of Lifeldt shallow sand filters for industry users' reference: Shutdown and safety check: The system stops, the inlet and outlet valves are closed, the power is cut off, and the equipment is completely stopped. To release the pressure, open the exhaust valve and release the residual pressure inside the filter to avoid accidents during maintenance. Prepare all maintenance tools (such as wrenches, pressure gauges, and cleaning tools), and wear protective equipment (such as gloves and goggles). Backwash system inspection: backwash valve function test, manually trigger the backwash program, observe whether the automatic flush valve is smoothly opened and closed, and confirm that the backwash drain port is not blocked. Collector condition assessment, check the bottom collector (such as mushroom structure) for damage or blockage, to ensure that the internal circulation is formed properly during backwashing. The packing layer is detected, the access port is opened, and the quartz sand filter layer is evenly distributed, and there is no hardening or loss phenomenon. If the filter material is significantly reduced, it is necessary to add quartz sand of the same specification. Filter layer cleaning and replacement: backwash efficiency verification, start the backwash procedure, record the backwash time (usually 1-3 minutes) and water consumption, evaluate whether the design standard is met. Impurities removal, if there are still stubborn impurities in the filter layer after backwashing, you can use high-pressure water gun to assist cleaning, or use special detergent to soak. Filter layer replacement cycle, according to the water quality and the amount of treatment, it is recommended to replace the filter material every 1-2 years to avoid the aging of the filter material affecting the filtration accuracy. Maintenance of structural parts: carbon steel shell inspection, corrosion detection of carbon steel shell, such as corrosion, should be repaired or re-painted in time.
